Munster Rugby and Thomond Park Stadium have a special bond and holds a special place in rugby due to its own unique history and atmosphere. It is there that Munster celebrated their legendary 12-0 victory over the All Blacks in 1978 (the only Irish Team ever to beat New Zealand).
The Stadium is famed for its noise during play and the complete silence while home and away players are kicking for goal. It is a very intimidating place for visiting teams to visit. Munster have only ever been beaten once at home during the Heineken Cup since it was first played in 1995.

The Hunt Museum was established to house an internationally important collection of approximately 2,000 works of art and antiquities formed by John and Gertrude Hunt during their lifetimes. As antique dealers and advisors to collectors they built a thriving business and also began to acquire pieces that reflected their own interests and curiosity rather than for commercial purposes.
The museum was officially opened by An Taoiseach John Bruton on 14 February 1997. It was a moment of great celebration for all concerned but, unfortunately, neither John nor Gertrude Hunt had lived to realise their dream. The museum stands as a monument to their enthusiasm, curiosity and generosity.

Bunratty Castle is the most complete and authentic medieval fortress in Ireland. Built in 1425 it was restored in 1954 to its former medieval splendour and now contains mainly 15th and 16th century furnishings, tapestries, and works of art which capture the mood of those times.
Today, the castle stands peacefully in delightful grounds. The houses and cottages of the folk park spread out at the foot of its massive walls, much in the way that the cottages and crofts of old would have clustered around its base. We invite you to wander through the castle and marvel at the finest collection of medieval furniture in the country which brings to life a vital part of our Medieval past.
